it's a new nation plan? does it give extended nights and weekends or something? they haven't told us about it, and it's not on the webpage either.

Its the pre paid go phone package, not for contracted service, but pre-paid.

The pick your plan Go Phone is up to 300 min for 39.99. So that can't be it either.

Don't worry. It is just that Cingular is pushing Media. Its the 200(29.99) w/1000 N+W with Media Basic(9.99) bolted on. Hence the 39.98 price. Trying to drive the Data market thats all. The normal 29.99 plan and 39.99 plan minus the Media package still exist.

Something with that is not right. There is no info on that anywhere. Even the Go phone plans are better than that. That isn't correct. Even if it were to be a regional plan. Why would Cingular have a new promotion for 39.99 with 200 min when the current 39.99 plan has 450 and M2M and 5KNW?

the 39.99 pre paid plan is $0.133 a minute, so up to possibly 300 minutes, but realsitically we're figuring around 200 since you only get 1000 n/w minutes between the text messaging fees, media basics access of 3 cents a kb, so roughly its being averaged at 200 minutes.

Well than that makes sense. That is the 29.99 plan with the MEdia Basic package for 9.99. That package is an optional feature.

Its like that to try and keep customers from going to pre-paid and to try and push them to the 39.99 plan. Marketing. I am not saying that I like it either, but Im not on it, so Im not complaining. If you don't like it, then stay where you are at if you are happy. Whew.... I feel relieved now. I was worried for a few.

But Cingular isn't going to advertise it like that though. That would be dumb on their part. So that can't be it.

Sorry guys, i know where this idea came from,.ATTWS people, they ran a offer identical last year during the olympics, it was a bronze, silver and gold package, $39.99,$49.99,$59.99, it actually was a big seller, cuz it was a bundled plan, everything included, the only things was they could not add onto it like more mm, or kb's or texts. it lasted about 4 months then stopped being ran, thats where the idea come from though!

I understand that you see that it is rediculous, but he didn't understand the plan, and we were not informed that the plan had a media basic on it. All of the posts on here were trying to figure out what was going on. They were not for no reason. If we would have known that, then obviously the thread would be shorter.
