No we charge $18.00 per line for an equipment upgrade/discount activation fee, same thing, but its for our costa associated with upgradig phones.

Expiration of Minutes: After 30 days the remaining funds will be taken on the 34th day and placed in a 90-day grace period. If the the MRC is applied to the account within the 90-day grace period, the customer may retain the funds. If the MRC is applied to the account after the 90-day grace period, the funds are lost.

No activation fee for pre-paids. You just have to pre-pay your service and also you don't get that great of a discount on phones.

Also to activate your pre pay you have to set it up for auto billing via bank account, credit or debit card.

If not your only option is to buy pre paid phone cards, but if you do ,you get nowhere near the benifits of the go phone pick your plan.

oh yeah, definitely.

i keep getting a lot of customers that are asking if they can activate their old AT&T OGO phone, but still as an AT&T phone, not on the new cingular GO phone. they just want to use text messaging, not calling.

No we charge an $18 upgrade fee. (as austin said)

They will stay on the account 30 days (as austin said) unless they make a payment before the 30 days is up (if its the same way attws had their gophone, which I believe it is.)

Yeah attws was that way, but cingular is different, the billing cycle on orange go-phone is always the same like 30-29, whatever it was at activation. If you have say $6.39 left as of the 28th and then don't make a payment, after the 34th day so in this example as of the 2nd, the money is placed into a 90 day grace period, so if you have a $39.99 plan, and if you make a payment of the monthly fee of $39.99 within 90 days of the balance expiring you will get your $6.39 ...

Upgrading from a X427 to a Siemens S66, considering holding onto the X427 for when I'm at work. Swapping the SIM card is all I'll need to do, right?

Also, reassure me that the s66 is a good purchase for $99.

The siemens phone is a VERY BAD CHOICE, they are pulling out of North America, so you buy that phone, you will have to send it to them to have it serviced. You could be without it for weeks.

Why... Why that isn't reassuring at all!!

Well, hopefully I don't get a dud. Even if I do, like I said, I'm holding onto the x427, so I won't be completely phoneless.

It was not meant to be reassuring, it was meant to scare you into some reality, cuz if ANYTHING happens to it, then you have to go through DIRECTLY through manufacturer, you can't call us to do a warranty exchange if they are not producing the phones anymore, which siemens isn't ,you have to go direct through siemens.

Its not worth it, i've talked to customer who get really pissed, since we can't do anything, and we hear, its got your logo on it,so fix it, which is total B.S .

I'd suggest buying a nokia or Motorola, don't buy...

It's a fair warning, so thank you. But I've already ordered it, and it's ideal enough for me that I don't feel like it's worth cancelling over 'what-if's.

And don't worry, I won't blame you if it breaks.
