I found a couple of 6230i's on ebay and I was wondering if they will work on the Cingular network, more specifically in Atlanta. Any ideas??

Yes that would work. According to the specs the only difference between the 6230 that Cingular offered and the 6340i is the resolution, mega-pixel camera and a few other features. You may have to program the internet settings.

No, I would stay away from it unless it is a version with GSM 850, which I don't think is out yet. You won't get good coverage (or any coverage, in many areas) without GSM 850.

I agree Rich Cingular does have service on 1900 mostly on the west coast and east coast. The state of California is all 1900 but there is a lot of 850. Cingular will be coming out with that phone in the forth quarter of this year. Along with a whole line up of PTT phones
