1.) Are former ATTWS cell sites now CINGULAR cell sites ??

2.) If I was able to use both ATTWS and CINGULAR cell sites (on ATTWS GSM service) last summer, will I be able to have the same coverage even though I still have a ATTWS phone and ATTWS GSM price plan ??

3.) Is it possible for me to have roaming charges from Pittsburgh to Rehoboth Beach, DE ?? I travel through Frederick, MD and ANNAPOLIS, MD. My service was impeccable last summer !!

1) Yes sorta. Basicly the "name" of the towers are changed to ATTWS but they are still configured as ATTWS. So they are still kinda seperate. I guess that would be a no then 😁

2) Yes. Your phone will always conect to an ATTWS tower first even if a Cingular tower in the area has a better conection. But you can still access Cingular network like before.

3) Depends on the plan your on. If you made the trip last year and didn't get roaming then you shouldn't get roaming this year

But it depends on your plan

Both sets of towers are cingular now but the tower ID numbers for former blue towers havn't changed yet so your phone will look for cingular towers first even if it would be getting a stronger signal on a blue tower

A)No, last summer ATT had a roaming agreement with other carrirs cingular among them to pick up signal, now since the agreement is gone, you will only pick up cingular if there is No ATT signal at all, thats the way the phones and network will built.
