Do low income people really need a cell phone? There is a reason why Indians live on reservations...they don't go anywhere.

Does anyone really need a cell phone?

When there's an outage somewhere, I get really sick of hearing:
"My child can't leave without his phone working. What's he supposed to do if he needs me?"
"I refuse to drive to visit my brother in another state if I don't have a working phone. What happens if my car breaks down?"
"My wife was supposed to call me when she needed me to pick her up, and now I won't know when she's done shopping."

It's like.. What in the world did you do before there were cell phones? This is a fairly new thing that MOST people carry phones. What happenend when you were a kid and had to walk to school without a phone in your hand. *gasp* It's unthinkable nowadays.
What about a pay phone. Are those out of style now?...
