What is ens?

Hey this might be a stupid question but what is ens stand for and what does it do?

Forget it its not working. Go to "Questions about cell towers and Go Phones" and look for a post by jinx7676 he explained everything in that post. He posted it yesterday at 2:49pm. Good luck its a pretty long thread but very helpful.

ENS is a scam thought up by cingular to make people feel more secure in their wireless network, it stands for enhanced network selection

Actually, NO it isn't a scam...it's a great upgrade to some of their phones...now it doesn't take as long for the phones to search for signal when you first power on, or if (for some reason) you drop a call...I actually get a little better signal reception since I upgraded to a 64k SIM and ENS phone...

Really? You get better signal with an ens phone and 64k sim? I have one v400 with a 32k sim and it has perfect reception compared with my other 2 phones that are ens and have 64k sims. They are a v220 and a T237, and with the 64k sim they have HORRID signal in the exact same area my v400 is.

Enhanced network selection. It allows your phone to select from the best signal not the providers signal first then any other signal. It was meant to help cingular phones not prefer either of thier network towers (Legacy Blue and Legacy orange).
