I don't like being called greedy. I don't sell phones outright because I can't make money off it. Sure it's my job, but I can make more money if I give a negative image of my company to this customer and hope another walks in later. Saying that I am greedy because I refuse to do my job so that I can make more money then I would if I had done my job in the first place is not greed. I only wanna do my job if I can profit off of it as much as possible. I'm proud of the fact that I am unwilling to do my job unless I can profit off it.

I sell handsets outright for a $40 profit (more if the phone is a newer style or higher demand). I clearly post my prices and sell 5 or 6 a week at this markup. Yes, the COR locations have them for about $20 less but I am also $150 cheaper than Best Buy, Wal-Mart and others. I also do not give the customer any crap if this is their choice.
That $40 represents about what we make on an upgrade, so I still get a return on investment and the customer walks out happy.
And if you have issues keeping those phones in stock then maybe your owner needs to get off their duff and give you enough handsets to sell. If you don't actually sell that many and just want it there "in case" that once a month d...
