Cingular's Automated Phone System

I work in sales & I gotta say, the automated system SUCKS!!!!!!! I spend 95% of the day being directory assistance.These Customer's push whatever button just to get to a person. Well guess what? I don't give a dayum. I WILL NOT transfer you to the right department. I will give you the number,tell you how to navigate the system & that's it. I'm not here to transfer every freakin call. I tell ya, they need to either make the automated system easier or let us go back to 1st call resolution for all call centers.
This B.S. about making a 12% close ratio when all we get is frustrated customers angry because of the circles the automated system has put them thru. We're not supposed to transfer anyways so I strongly suggest paying attention when goi...

As a customer I find the automated system very easy to use. My guess is that some people are just too dumb to use it proprly. 🙄

Well......You are a very small majority of the Cust's who pay attention & I thank you for that.

It just get's really old when we are commission based but yet we don't get sales calls.
