Why do people feel the need to do this????

I'm in a call center. I take calls all day. So I get a standard call...cingular messed something up. Alot of times, it's a mistake that is VERY easy to fix, either by myself, or by calling customer care to assist me. So I tell a customer, yes this is the way it appears to have been set up, but it can be changed. Then I get a tirade in my ear. I don't care if it CAN be changed!!! You are GOING to change it!!! It MUST be changed!!! Why would, after hearing the rep automatically tell you "we can fix this" so to speak, would you get all pissed off and start yelling??? All thats going to do is make the person who was just more than willing to take care of you, not want to help you at all.

now pat yourself on the back for speaking the truth.
either that or get a little two overwhelmed and take 50sleepy pills (like i did) and end up having to go to a shrink every week just for him to tell you it's not personal and the customers are idiots. 🤭 😢

Man, a guy here at work had one of those today--dealer calls up, had a customer who cancelled within buyer's remorse but the ETF didn't automatically credit, no big deal, we'll credit manually. Dealer asks if he'll tell the customer this, he says sure, customer gets on the line and totally FLIPS OUT. Screaming, cussing, hollering, incoherent freakout of the first water. Poor rep is trying to tell Ms. Prozac Moment that it's cool, there's no ETF, she keeps screaming, then the phone goes dead. He calls the dealer back, basically "WTF?!" and the dealer says he has no idea, she just went from zero to bitch in 0.003 nanoseconds, then THREW the phone at the dealer, it bounced and hit her three year old kid in the head and she stormed out... ...

We should arrange to have the world Phone Throwing Championships. Some of these customers could rival our Olympic Shot-Put team.

No kiddin'--my buddy was so ticked off he was trying to get the dealer to report Ms Prozac to the child welfare people, since she beaned her own kid with the phone... What a complete C U Next Tuesday... 😳

That's another thing that's always puzzled me. Reps, you know what I'm talking about here. You have another rep warm transfer a call to you, after esplained the situation, and they make it clear the customer isn't mad, they just want everything straigtened out and they will be cool. They transfer them over, and they ask for YOUR supervisor and get all pissy...and it's like, well....why didn't you escalate on the last rep then??? WHy me??? I'm the person that's actually gonna take care of you....I can't figure out people.

Me either, it's why I avoid people at all costs when I'm not being paid to deal with them! 🤣

People are easy to figure out, you just have to start with the basic assumption that all people are idiots. After that, it's easy.

reading what Jldnr77 says..i remmembered that some friend from this external call center and I were talking about dealers and cust, how it they're behavoir and stuff like... but suddendly i got an idea, i want to go to florida and california, take a regular table, a coffemaker, cigarretes, water with not low music and then put it n a park or in a nice avenue and tell the pople that i could read they're bills and teach them how to read/understand it JUST FOR $1 LITTLE DOLLAR

I GUESS I COULD GOT A LOT OF MONEY!!!!!! 😉

Get out in the open where these freaks can actually get at me? No way in hell, my friend, not for a dollar, not for a whole buncha dollars. Maybe with a mask and a bulletproof enclosure for me to sit in, but otherwise it just ain't happenin'... 🙄

that would be a good idea. I mean, you aren't gonna say that you work in Cingular, you are gonna explained them that you can read their bills and explained them the charges.
