Will Cingular be getting PTT services?

I hope not. I can't stand that feature. Its the same thing as mobile to mobile. Sorry I just don't like it having seen it used so much, people become rude with it. No offense to you for asking though.

I know they've been testing it for a couple of years now...who knows if they'll actually release it.

Last word I heard, which was last year, was that it was supposed to be being released sometime this year...but I haven't gotten anything more recent or concrete.

Wouldn't surprise me there...though, knowing current trends, it wouldn't surprise me if it came out next year...though the fact that we've had silence about it for about four months is probably indicative that it's about to come out. All speculations though.

the first ptt phone is scheduled to be released in september, but there is no gaurantee that is going to happen. cingy will get ptt service. It doesnt make much sence for me to have that type of service either, but if enough people are willing to pay for it, why not.

The Sony Ericsson Z500 is PTT capable, Cingular just doesnt offer the service to utilize it.
