So I get a call that I figure will be easy. Customer says I ported my number over 2 days ago its still not active. Call PAC. She tells me that the cell phone company was renting the number from a landline company, and therefore it will take a minimum of 10 days to port the number. Also the customer must call back on the 10th day to activate the phone because a landline port doesnt automatically....problem is we have no way of knowing when we start the port that it will take longer than 24hrs (unless you speak to a pac rep and they catch it) so when the customer calls back days later and their phone still isnt working, and they find out they have to wait longer they are upset and angry.......

CINGULAR WILL BURN FOR THIS ATROCITY!!! 😈 HAHA NO NO, Im only kidding. But I can see someone who's all gung ho against Cingular saying that.

That does really suck and I dont work for a wireless carrier but just in general I hate when people get screwed over and there's nothing I can do about it. And I also know the feeling of getting screwed over and not being able to do anything about that, it sucks. Life has its bumps though and everyone eventually will get over them.

But what I'd really like to know is why they'd be renting a number from a phone company, that's so weird! That's like me going out and renting someone elses underwear! 😕
