Are you sure any GSM phone will work ??? Are all GSM phones loaded into your billing systems ???

When I worked for ATTWS and VZW, if a phone was not loaded into the billing system, you could not activate it.

GSM doesnt require the IMEI of the phone to be loaded into anything. the SIM card is what tells the phone what phone number is assigned to it, so it can be put in any other GSM phone (assuming it's unlocked or locked to the same network as the SIM) and it will work. the only other question is the frequency of the phone. if the phone is not 850/1900, it is not reccomended in Nother america on Cingular, since we use both, but in different areas. if i am not mistaken, ATL should ...

I was thinking of bringing over a Nokia 6630, but why pay $300 and not get to utilze streaming video, etc.
