how do i enter this unlocking code?

the site fone.ca or whatever sent me two codes

do i try each code once with the sim card and once w/o or something? he wasnt really clear on the directions as i have never done this before

can someone help?

Do it very carefully, cuz you do it wrong, you PERMANTLY LOCK IT

well there are two codes he has given me. do i do each one once? without the simcard? or do i do one with and one without? i am confused lol 🤣

You have to do it with the new sim card in the phone, otherwise you locked it up for good.

Yeah you have to have the sim card in there.If you did it w'out the sim,you locked it up permently, oh by the way, in case they never told you, by tampering with it, you just voided your warranty, if there was any on the phone.

this is all just fabulous i am so pleased. i knew i'de be messing with the warranty.

it still locks it permenantly for cingular even if the codes i entered were wrong? its a good thing this wasnt a new phone!

If you do it wrong it permently lockes to it to whoever the carrier it was made for- So if you had a T-mobile branded phone, and you lock it up,will only work with T-Mo, same with ATTWS phones and cingular phones, whoever has their logo on it its locked to be only used on theirs, and NO WAY to reverse that.

damnnnn its a 6820 for attws but i wanted to use it with cingular wtf i am mad now lol

what if i send it in for a refurbished one and get a new handset with a different imei? lol

Since your warranty is voided, then what happens is that when the phone is sent back,they tech it, they will see what is done and you get charged back for full price of that 6820, and you can't dispute it, so you pay that much for a refurbished phone, your choice

In future cases just do a search on Google or iMesh for software that can help provide you Nokia codes (I wish I had that file name with me).

the program I have and use is called DCT4 NCK Calculator. I think I purchased it for like $1 off of ebay. It has worked everytime I have used it so far.
