Cingular launched new plans... Trying everything they can to be Verizon's little brother... They had such a good pace going too... I hate to see them throw that 41 billion away only 6 months into the year... I guess we'll be back at number 2 by years end...
...
I doubt Cingular will drop to number two. I think Cingular will keep adding customers at a rapid pace. But I think you are going to see more two family talk accounts like having two lines on one family talk and having two lines on another.
...
I never thought of doing that, that is a good idea, for $20 more, a group can get double the minutes, good idea.... 🙂
...
never mind, I had a brain fart, the oxygen is coming back to me now.... 😁
...
The new plans are not that bad at all. They are very similar to VZW's plans.
However, the new data prices are still well higher than the competition. When will Cingular learn? Unlimited WAP is not worth $20/month when the competition charges $5.00 to $10.00 for anything under 3G data.
...
No not like Verizons, All of there plans let you add more lines for just $9.99 even on there $59.99 plan which had 50 more minutes than Cingulars anyway. 🙄
...
VZW will end up raising that price too. I would bet on it.
But it still doesn't excuse Cingy's high data prices.

😎 I hate to be the one to say i told you so...but I told you so. Big Stan has done what countless other CEO's have done once they've achieved #1 status, gotten a big head! "Well we've got 50,000,000 we're all good, now let's raise prices above everyone else's!! Smell like a crack habit to me.
...
WTF They have changed them again since this morning. 😲 When I checked them this morning there was a $59.99,$69.99 and $79.99 plan and it was $19.99 for more lines on the first two plans and the $59.99 plan only had 450 mins. how many times are they going to change there plans in one day. 🙄
...
Probably back to number 2 sooner than that, Verizon is trying to acquire alltell.
...
The FCC will never allow that. Although I didn't think they would allow the Cingular/ATT merger either. So it shows what I know.
...
Verizon have been trying to do that for years. I doubt it will happen alltell is doing just fine on its own.
