Cingular/Moto V3 Razr Noob seeks setup info

Yes, I'm a noob. I've set up the phone to recv e-mail. Aside from flex/flash/seems mods, what else can I do to optimize my experience? And are there settings that I should disable? Last, I signed up for 450 nation plan. It seems that the $7 extra nights wknds add-on is a good deal. Should I add it? Any advice is heartily welcome. Thanks so much to everyone...

I would add the 7PM nights. It saves me a ton of anytime minutes every month.
