Just a quick question. My phone broke: the nokia 6230, so Will Cingular replace that with the same phone? if not what other phone would they probably replace it with? And lastly, would it be possible for me to pay extra to lockline to get a different phone if they are only replacing it with the same one if i wanted a different one? THANKS 😁

You will get the 6230. Paying extra for a different phone is not an option. You can call Lockton and see if they are replacing it with a like for like model, some reps know and some don't... Not sure why that is... 😕

The 6230??? Old??? Yeah, that's why cingular just re-released it. The 6230 is STILL a well featured phone by todays standards. And think about it. If you have the insurance, you have insurance on THAT phone. Why would they replace it with another model???

They re-released it? How do you find out about information like that?

I know it is feature packed. I know that, but other people don't. They just look at it , and it looks.. dull? it doesn't look like it could do all it does. It's a great phone don't get me wrong it has EVERYTHING phones do nowadays. I just am tired of it i guess. Maybe when i get a replacement i'll sell it on ebay and buy a different phone . I have my eye on a 6620

Ahhhh, Fashion statement. My kinda customer 😁

If you want a fashion statement, and don't use bluetooth, why not get a Samsung P777? That will wow your friends.

Thing is though i use bluetooth. i make my own mp3 ringtones and use a usb card reader to transer them onto an MMC and put it in the nokia 6230. i dont think that samsung has expandable memory does it? if it doesn't i could use bluetooth but it doesn't have that.

Samsung has expandable memory, but not via MMC. It uses a different format.

This is why I got an Audiovox SMT5600...it's not a fashion statement, but it can do more than practically anything else out there for the same money. If all you want is a fashion statement, then go fashion. I prefer the features being offered. You can always buy at full retail, which is what I have to do, minus my employee discount 😁
