Gait phone not receiving calls

Shayby

I have a customer who has a gait phone. He can make calls no problem but if someone tries to call him it rings on the callers end and goes to voicemail but the phone never registers it even as a missed call. Ive checked call forwarding, call delivery etc.

Any Ideas?!?

I have the GAIT phone (Nokia 6340i) & it did that a couple Saturdays ago & I just called Cingular's customer service on a Saturday & they got me connected to their Tech dept & they just updated my Sim card & it went back to working fine . They were really nice but it did take a little while to get it done .

It really sounds like the call routing is stuck somewhere. That is something only tier 2 can fix you might need to file a case.

I actually finished a degree but I owe the university I went to a large amount of money. I went to work for Cingular and I am trying to save money to pay the school I went to to get my degree.

Even though we've been told not to do this anymore, I would try disconnecting the service, letting it clear the switch, and then reconnecting. Usually that'll fix things when everything else looks like it's all good. Don't for get to make test calls!

I was outside having a cigarette 😉 Like I said, we're not supposed to do that anymore...supposed to go to tier II, but I've actually had people do a disc/rec to fix everything. It just causes more undue traffic and sometimes can cause more problems. That's why I always use it as my last resort.

Well I know we were having some problems with the switch this weekend. Tier II isn't here on weekends, we are considered tech support so whatever I have to do to fix it will be done as far as im concerned. If I dont fix it and they call back I get reprimanded about stats so im gonna do what I can to take care of MY customers.

Most definitely...it seems like 90% of the time I don't make par it's due to the call back cr*p. Do what it takes to do your job is what I say. They can't fault you in the long run for doing your job. I'd wager they're getting rid of repeat calls very soon anyway. We've either got huge changes coming that no one knows about, or they're getting rid of repeat calls.
