Cingular's Amazing Morphing Website...

I've found over the past few weeks that sometimes when I go to Cingular.com and check the phone list, it's different from the last time I visited (usually just hours apart). I noticed that the Nokia 6230 (which is the only BT phone I can interest my wife in) was listed for $99 after MIR, but 2 hours later when I got home to show her, it was gone. The style of the phone list page seems to have changed too--it seems like they start updating the page and then revert to an older version. I've cleared my browser's cache and such to make sure I'm not looking at an older version my system has... anybody else having similar trouble? Or, a more useful question, is Cingular actually selling the 6230 with that MIR that I can purchase over the phon...

I have noticed that when you log in to your account the phone list looks different then when you are not logged in. Also the 6230 is there when you are not logged in and not there when you are logged in (hope I said that right). You have to delete your cookies to get the page to normal.

the difference you speak of would be the www.cingular.com/indexc and www.cingular.com/indexa [or indexb]
indexc is the new version while b or a is the older shopping cart version.. i sorta found index c before it was the standard one 🙄

when you type in the cingular page and click go.. it will either say after it's done loading ... " www.cingular.com indexb" or "www.cingular.com/indexc" if you want to see the new version of the cingular website it's indexc the older one is indexb or maybe a. So if you go to the page and it says www.cingular.com/indexb just erase the b and put a c in it's place but when you look at your account and want to add a line or upgrade it will show the indexb version of the website not the newer one. hope that helpss

Must depend on your region, Socal/Nevada Still has it, try 90501, cingular's regionalizing service is really stupid 😕

if you type in " www.cingular.com/indexc" it should have the new website showing almost all the phones cingular offers. The 6230 is only like 100 bucks.. really cheap cause i got mine for 200 something last year
