sorry cingular train us the basics very well so I'm going to ask a bunch of questions that might not be covered in the learning edge.. 😁

1. customers on a two year agreement.. 14th month the phone breaks no insurance.. exchange by mail cant be done. doesn't qualify for up grade till 18th month.. what do i do

2. mobile to mobile.. if a cingular customer doesn't answer from another cingular customer and goes to voice mail does it take away any mins

3. in opus.. customer wants to activate 3 lines on three different accounts.. do i have to run credit 3 different times? (i think its yes but is there a way not too, feel kind of bad)

4. those easy activations when a customer walks into the store and say "yea i ran credit yeste...

1) Tell them they have to buy a phone at full cost or pay to have the manufacturer fix it.

2) Most M2M is unlimited so it wont matter if its a cingular/attws customer.

3) I believe it will be 3 diferent credit checks but not sure I dont activate lines.

4) dont know.

5) he is a REALLY great dealer.

hi Shay the answer to number 4 is no for security reasons it will always go into AR.

2- Mobile to Mobile, no need to worry... No minutes used.


deposits are free, but when the person CHECKS the voicemail is when the question comes into play:
- if the customer has basic voicemail, it will use their minutes
- if the person has enhanced voicemail it will not use minutes

Whoa! What's enhanced VM? I've always seen Basic VM all over the place and wondered what was so basic about it, and if it was basic, if there was a better than basic. Although, if I have M2M, I wouldn't be charged for checking my Basic VM, right?

enhanced vm just gives you more space to save more messages, allows people to leave longer messages, and saves them longer than the basic vm, and no, when you check you vm it dials a platform number, which is not considered a cingular/at&t mobile, so it does go against your minutes 🙂

LAME. When did that crap come about? I used to just call my cell number and get my voicemail. Sure would've been nice if someone told me about that. I just called into CS and they told me the same thing. Good thing I wasn't charged by the minute on that call, the guy decided to tell me everything the call was about and all the answers he gave me. Pretty lame. When I say, ok, thanks, talk to you later, don't start rattling on about everything I just went through.

Is there a way I can get a copy of the T&C that I had to listen to when I activated my phone? Wonder what other kind of stuff I've missed, or Cingular left out 🙄 .
