I am almost sure I am gonna switch from Verizon to Cingular next week. Mostly because of phone selection. I have actually never had a problem with verizon. Can anyone give me any insight as if I am making a good decision here. I am liking the sony camera phone or the Razor. not sure yet.. Will I be happy with Cingular?
Don't yell at me in here. Just respond or pass on by please.. thanks in advance..

What state and city are you located in? I can't make any suggestions until I know where you are at but I can give you my personal opinion and any suggestions that might make trying it out easier when I do. 🙂

Okay, that is rather convenient because I live in Pittsburgh and have been through and around Cleveland with Cingular service. In my own experiences I have never had any major problems with service wherever and whenever I use my phone other than one or two dropped calls ever. Nothing major. In Pittsburgh especially, I know that my Cingular service has outperformed my Verizon service. When travelling through the eastern portion of Ohio I have never had coverage problems either. Even when signing up for Cingular (which was nearly half a year ago) my experiences were enjoyable, easy, and stress free.

I have two suggestions for you:

1. If you know of any friends or family who are currently with Cingular, borrow their phone for a day ...

Oh, I forgot to mention this:

If you decide to test Cingular service out on your own, be sure to continue your Verizon service and sign up for new service with Cingular. This will allow for you to cancel your Cingular service before the 30 days is up if you choose not switch. If you do decide that Cingular is more beneficial to you, you can then port your current number with Verizon over to your Cingular service.

if you give me your zip i'll mti (the tool we have that gives us a street level veiuw of what coverage is like in your area.

Also if your going for the razr get the motto v551. it costs less and has a digital recorder, that the razr does not have. other wise they are practically the same phone

Well it could most definitely benefit you depending on what type fo plan you have in mind. The razor is not for everyone. Personally I like the camera phone. You mean the Z500a right. yeah it rocks but my suggestion would be to go to a store and check out the merchandise first hand so you can ensure you are comfortable with your decision.

I can't say anything about the service you'll get in that area, but I think Ruff did a good job on that. The RAZR I will say is one hell of a phone, but if you have ever lost or broken a phone, the RAZR is not insurable, so if anything happens you will have to out right buy another one. I like the z500 but also recommend the V551, about the same price and you'll get a little more. Better screen and Bluetooth mainly. If the SE camera phone you are talking about is the s710a, jump on it, cause that's a bad a$$ phone...
