I have a Nokia 6620 and I like the phone very much but lately I have been having some technical issues, I have several downloaded applications and stuff on it, but I dont think that these 3rd party apps are causing my problems, several times when people have called me I have answered my phone immediately after it rings and it will say that Im connected but I cant hear anyone on the other line and they can't hear me, the mute isnt activated and it doesnt matter whether Im using my BT headset or not. It doesnt happen everytime but it has happened several times in the last week. I dont think its a service issue because it doesnt happen with any of my other phones, my question is Can I return my phone for a new one after the 30 days and a second...

honestly i don't think so, but the phone may be under warrenty. I'd call care and see what they can do for you. The reason i don't want to give you a diffinate answaer is becuase i am a 2g rep and you have 3g phone. Cingulars return policies may be different then what we have over hear. Also those 3rd party apps may have vioded the warrenty (although i think it that it is a silly reason to viod the warrenty if it is true.)
In any case i'd say that this marits a call in to cust care. Just remeber the number is: 1 800 331 0500 7am to 9 pm your local time.

?????
The 6620 is NOT 3G. It still operates on regular GSM/GPRS/EDGE technology.
You have 30 days to return or exchange your unit. Depending on the store they may offer you a "trade in" credit on your old unit but, as we do here, it will be substantially less that what you paid for the unit. You will also, as we do, pay for the "no commitment" price on your new handset.

humm 3g is GSM. 3g is just the term used for the Blue GSM departments.
...
3G by definition is an industry term for a 3rd generation technology product. By FCC definiton, current GSM handsets, including the 6620, are 2G.
I am not familiar with internal department types, but to name a department 3G when it supports a 2G technology product like GSM seems quite confusing.

I agree with you Texas however it's done. Here in blue customer care anytime we call another department were are ask 2g or 3g and always they mean TDMA or GSM
...
My lord that is just moronic.

Ok...if you are past your thirty days, you can call our Warranty Exchange department to get your phone exchanged out under the phones warranty.
GSM, according to my training, is actually 2.5G It's better than 2G, but not as good as 3G. UMTS will be the first true 3G network.

Thanks for the info, If I go through the warranty exchange department will I be able to exchange for a different phone of equal or less value or will it only be exchanged for the same model? just wondering.
...
It will be the same model unless that model is unavailable then it will be one that departments deems lesser or equal value. (If I understand our material correctly)
