Headset Question

Hello,

I bought a plantronics headset for my cell phone.(X427) I seem to be getting some kind of humming noise while talking on the headset. 😲

Anyone know what might be causing this?

Why bother trying to figure out what's causing it? Why not just take it back? Shouldn't be doing that.
