Ok, I am almost at the end of my rope with VZW and dropped calls.

I have a few questions before going ahead, and I apologize in advance if it seems like a lot:

1. Is Cing as easy as T-mobile about unlocking phones after a few months? (that VoiceStream T28W is falling apart...)

2. If not, what 3/4-band GSM phones are easiest to unlock?

3. Are they coming up with any new phones for July 4?

4. Do I need 32kb or 64kb SIM in NYC/Northern NJ?

Thanks!

i dont know how other companies are.. alot of companies dont want to unlock a phone for a csutomer for the reason that...
your service may nt work as well with an unlocked phone as it may not work to full extent... also with an unlocked phone we may not be able to privide any troublshooting for it if anything is wrong... you can get usually free phone online... be way eeasier to get a new phone... almost no provider likes unlocking them..

as for the sim card youll want to get the 64k as it the sim that will recognize the combines att gsm and cingular gsm networks...

In order to unlock a phone, you have to meet a list of requirements that vary for phone type and model. Not an easy answer on that one. Currently we are having problems with unlocking new GSM nokia models. Nokia is not releasing unlock codes to us. No new phones for the 4th in the works yet. 64 is the best route
