Has anyone ever had this problem?

I purchased a Nokia 6230 wih a GoPhone plan. I can make a recieve calls fine. But here's the problem...I can't access the wireless internet and I can send text messages but can't recieve them, eventhough the plan I paid for includes text messaging, wireless internet, etc.

I call Cingular Customer Care (7 times) and tell them the problem I'm having. They tell me that the problem isn't with the phone, but that having my wireless number changed might fix everything. So, I go to have my number changed, but the problem still exists, then I'm told that it needs a new SIM card, but my phone needs the "64K Gemplus Card". If anyone ever had this problem, I want to know what you had to do in order to fix it, because it seems like Cingular is giving...

wow... yes it does. are you getting any error messages and what carriers are you trying to get text from. have you went to cingular.com and tried sending a text from the web site to your phone?

Yep, I tried sending text message from Cingular.com, but to no avail. I'll go back to the Cingular store tomorrow and see what can be done.

i just tried and it worked for me 😕
just sent a message to my phone.

not the run around, its just not a simple problem...either one of two things for your text message, either a) you dont have the proper features *i hope they didnt miss that* or two there is a message center error (could be in the phone or system) and something simular to the internet...problem is gophones dont work the same way post paid does, and we didnt get a whole lot of training on the differences, we just know they excist...so you see the delemia
