Unfortunetly I do not travel Europe with Cingular. I have a Canadain provider and I have found the coverage in the UK to be increadigle. Ensure you get a Quad band GSM phone. BT enabled Clamshell V551 from Motorola would be a good choice. Good reveiws here from their users. For rates and coverage the best place to look would be Cingular.com/world. I can only assume that the coverage would be the same as what my provider here has overseas as Rogers Wireless carries 93% of the same international roaming agreements as Cingular does, (Our pices are just in CDN). Rate plans have changed some, truly it depends on your usage. Cingular Nation plans have rollover minutes (unused minutes carry over for up to 12 months) Unlim N/W 50 million peop...

My opinion, stay with T-Mobile. I wish I would have! I switched to Cingular because of a 18% discount every month because of my company I work for, but I miss T-Mobiles service. never any network problems like I have now with my phone roaming to canada and losing signal. As far as Europe, cant help ya there. But if your going to be in the US in your home area, stay with T-Mobile!

Cingular has roaming agreements with most of the major european carriers, so you'll probable never lose your signal there, I would go with a quadband phone RAZR is a nice phone at a nice price or the v551 with mostly same features for an even better price.

I don't know about Cingular in Europe but in Southern California they're awful. I have the worst reception of everyone I know except the people I know who have Cingluar. Also, I have had bad luck with their customer service which I have dealt with frequently.

I have a Sony Ericson T616. It's an AT&T wireless phone. My mother has the Motorola V551, a Cingular phone and has had really bad reception as well. It's so bad that she has a prepaid phone from T-moblie that she frequently has to use because her Cingular phone will not get any reception.
