Yeah so this woman calls in to cancel service with us, going to Verizon. She got a camera flip-phone for $49.99 on a nationwide plan. I told her that she could have gotten a free-camera phone from us and paid half the activation fee too.

Stupid woman, there was time to correct to, it's called buyer's remorse you dumb horse.

Maybe...the phone she got had other better features than the free one. And maybe Verizon will fit her needs better.

Maybe, but if you feel that you have to get revenge on a company by leaving because you feel that some injustice was done to you which in reality was your own damn fault. Then maybe, just maybe you could be correct.

Otherwise I stand by my previous statement. Customers need to grow-up and realize that the only reason they got charged these extra fees is because they didn't understand their service. I am here 24/7 to assist in going over your rate plan. I have spent 30-60 mins. going over rate plans in DETAIL where they can and cannot use their phones. What roaming is. What LD is considered and where it is considered. The difference between International LD and Local LD, etc...

I take it personal when a customer decides to quit our com...

All problems arise or are found during the buyer remorse?

The free phones are always high quality phones?

No but there is a warrenty for devective phones. as for problems with the service. you should know what is when you except the service. You know, read the contract your signing. And look into what you will be paying for, before you pay for it.

Well lets rethink this then, she spent $49.99 for a phone from Verizon, I wish I new the quality but who cares no single phone acts the same as another. My dispute is that we could have offered her the same deal but with a free phone.
1) She ended up paying for a full month of service from us, instead of paying a prorated invoice.
She ended up paying a higher activation fee with the new company.
3 opportunities to save money. Throwing money away, reasons for being stupid. If she felt that she was getting revenge on the company or felt this was her only option to get better service then switch to Cingular's GSM. i don't know. I would have at least given the other network a chance before I just packed up and went to a new company.

I'm sure enough of us do. But as it has been stated SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOmany times before (at least for me)when I come in here I'm not a CSR, I'm a person none of us are rude or ignorant on the phone and whether we are nice in here or not is completely irrelevent. (I know quite a few reps on my team that post in here and NONE of them are rude on the phones at all) Here we don't have a name and we aren't representing Cingular, WE ARE ONLY PEOPLE IN HERE!!!
