Just spent 5 minutes with a customer and she then asks...
This is T-mobile, right?
I look down at my name tag, turn around and look at the BIG cingular sign she is facing and then say, umm....NO
This cracks me up, EVERY time

omg, she came into a store and asked that? I've had that happen over the phone, but never in person. Congrats on that one.

I dont know why it should happen on the phone, how many times does the voice say thanks for calling cingular wireless and you dont catch it then, Bout a sharp as a bowling ball

Hey, we get 'em from the other side too! The divine ability to only hear what you want is what separates humans from the lesser animals--they know perfectly well that it does no good for one's evolutionary chances to attempt to convince oneself that the quiet leopard noises are really only the wind, dear... 🤣

i had someone who not only called in but was trans'd to me in tech support that wasn't our customer. and i'm not talking tmobile i'm talking vodaphone from europe.

Select hearing, I have it, but in the good and bad way.
Good: Odd noise no one hears, I hear it.
Bad: When someone is saying something I tend to tune them out. This is bad when I am trying to get info from someone.

well i do combined billed accnts w/ cingular and sbc, and you say thanks for calling cingular wireless, and you start talking to them, they keep giving there landline #, and you say i need ya cellphone, they say oh i wanted to speak w/ sbc... and its like you waited in teh queue that had cingular adverts and you still had the nerve to sit and talk to me after i told you I WAS CINGULAR.... people are dumb...
