Nokia 3595 question

I was talkin to a cingular customer service person a few days ago. I told him about my problem I'm having with gettin disconnected all the time and very low signal, but every once in a while I get full signal for a little bit. He gave me some suggestions such as turn the phone off and on, and remove the battery. He also mentioned something about going into the settings menu and going to network services and manually selecting a tower. I told him on my nokia 3595 the menu he is talking about under network service has been blocked out of my phone and i can't get to them. He mentioned something about if I had a phone with a different version of software I could change this and it would help me. Can someone please tell me how I could do th...

cingular phones don't allow this feature.

Yes people that don't have enough money to buy a new phone every month when a new model comes out! hehe

I believe some motorola phones might allow you to select which network you are on. I just read this on a forum somewhere.
