Ok. Phone is 1900 only so we can only connect to T-Mobile. We will try it when it is in Austin since they use 1900 there with Cingular (I think).

Thanks

I haven't reprogrammed any phones to use on Cingular, but I've done quite a few for T-Mobile. I know that T-Mobile's system will recognize that the IMEI for the phone is not one of theirs and that even if you program the Tzones settings in, that you can go to Tzones, but that it won't allow you to download anything. You can still go to other WAP sites if you have that feature on you account - but no downloads directly from T-Mobile.

Does Cingular do the same thing? That could create a problem if you are typing in the settings specifically so that the customer can download ringtones and wallpapers.

We don't have AT&T here, just T-Mobile in the 1900 Mhz band. I get a "service not available" error. It makes voice calls just fine.
