Cancel Service
Ok I dont want to start an argument over which company is better. But Cingular does not work in my house or near my house because I am close to the border to Canada where it competes with the Canadian signal. Also my phone has the worst sound quality ever (e317). So I am switching to Verizon where my stepmom has service and loves it, especially around my house. My question is how much is my termination fee? According to Cingular email its 240.00 prorated at 20.00 per month for each month remaining on my contract. I have a 1 year contract, so if I have 6 months remaining its 120.00? Any agents can confirm? I am in the Buffalo New York calling region.

I believe New York is one of the markets that is prorated like that. One of our Care agents will be on here later (I hope)

Cancellation Fee is $150.00 ETF for the Cingular side - and if your an former AT&T Wirless customer then it's $175.00 ETF.

i'm a rep for the former AT&T Wireless, still actually but were," The New Cingular." hahaha it's a joke really - anyway - It'a Really all MARKET SPECIFIC - what this means is that there are diffrent rules and policies depending on where you live in the US of A... YES, i know this really suck's a*s - but i don't make the rule i'm just the poor soul that has to enforce them. But you are right about the $20.00 per month, some markets get charged $10.00 per month for canceling early, like i said it's really all market specific.
