🙄

I am a Verizon customer and have been for about 6 years if memory serves me right.

I live in NC and travel the whole northeast and southeast extensively for work.

Lately I have been really pissed with Verizons lack of quality, sleek phones. On top of that I have had some serious voice mail delays.

I want to start by saying I am very easy on my phones, never dropped one, and the current phone I have had for 2 years looks virtually brand new.

Here is all I require in a phone. VERY good speaker phone, VERY good ear volume, VERY good reception. I'm getting up there in age and the ears ain't what they used to be.

Does the Black Razr fit this description? please give an honest opinion.

I have read that the ear volume i...

voicemail delays and hang up calls happen on Cingular too. If your traveling to western new york you will get them all the time. Just FYI. I am switching to verizon as soon as they get better phones.

Thats just it homeslice...don't hold your breath.
I've waited years for VZW to release phones on par with what Cingular has. It's not going to happen in my opinion. For whatever reason, Verizon is hell bent on carrying the ugliest, most outdated, thickest, most boring phones i think I've ever seen.
I mean......they still sell the V60, talk about outdated!!

I understand there is a CDMA Razr available. You can see it at www.wirelessimports.com

If it has taken VZW 5 months to release the MotoE815 then it will probably take them 5 years to release the Razr.

im in the same boat you are. My step mom gets great reception in my house and around my house, where as cingular does not. Nothing against Cingular, Im sure it gets better reception in places verizon does not, its just not good for me because of where I live. My only other option is to go back to T-Mobile where I loved my phone, but left because of my discount with cingular because of where I work. Thanks for your input on verizon phones though, ill keep that in mind. Only problem with T-Mobile is their coverage area.

My very good friend worked at Verizon Walden Street.
He is disgusted with the offerings from Verizon lately also.
If I could, I would blow $1,099 and get the CDMA version Razr from wireless imports. God only knows where they got these from. But according to them, it has a 1.3 mp camera, better diplay than the Cingy Razr.

Motorolas are notorious for poor earpiece volume. I'd suggest looking into a Nokia. Keep in mind that you do have a 30 day buyers remorse period as well. If you dont like the phone, return it. Although it can be extremely delayed when returning things by mail. Although things can be a bit more confusing in the store I'd suggest going there for immediate exchange if there is an issue. Another bonus, is that you can actually take a look at the phone because they should have a floor model that you can navigate yourself.

Motorola's also have this issue, that if they're left on for more that 3.5 days straing w/o being turned off. they start to drop calls like mad and get poor signal and reception. now that sux, but it's really the same for an phone though.
