Ok Cingular reps. Ive read posts about commercials advertising the Nokia 6102 Coming to Cingular. Anyone know when its coming? I really want it to replace me samsung e317. Also can someone tell me if there are any updates to the e317 software to correct the poor sound quality and freezing?

I would have your handset exchanged via warranty (XBM) or just send it to Samsung. I have not seen the issues you are experience so I do not think a general software upgrade is warranted by Samsung.

already done that twice. Its like the volume is way too low on the phone even at high volume and the speaker cuts out. Like when people talk, they are sometimes very low even at full volume, and/or they break in and out, like their words get skipped or mumbled. I dont know why.

Unfortuntaly it sounds like it is still not functioning. I would suggest sending it to Samsung to be repaired. I have no idea why XBM can't get it right. I have never experienced the issues people here post about with them.

it's jue samsung they all act wierd some don't hold time some suck with reception but they are nice phones but they each ahve there own bug in them if not one then another 😢

Should be... but i have had the v551 since November... and per the features listed for the 6102, I would go with the v511... This last software update they did worked wonders for the phone. Not a single problem since i changed it out.

well id have to get the v551 off of ebay, so i dont think it would have the newest update. Also, I like the size and weight of the Nokia better. I just dont want to keep waiting if the Nokia is going to take forever to come out, know what I mean?

Hey What do you mean software update? I have a V551 and don't know what you are talking about. Is there some sort of problem with the phone? Can you clue me in to what it is? 😳

Do you work for Cingular? If so under Technical Trouble type in V551, there was a battery drain and rf performance issues.

thats ok, thanks for the info though. I am trying to find a phone to replace my e317 since it doesnt work too well as far as sound and signal strength where I live. I heard Nokias are among the best in that, and it was either i get the v551 on ebay or wait for the 6102 to come out. I live in an area where cingulars signal isnt very strong around my house, so i need a better quality phone.
