the network conversion is already uder way. The former AWS towers are being "re-coded" as "orange" towers so that they look like one network to phones. it's not an overnight process though 😉 .

Analog is out in '08, TDMA prolly has a date that they no longer have to provide service for, but im not sure when it is ..2010?. The whole network merge is "supposed" to be complete by Nov of '06. And when you consider the time it takes to switch 5 different MNC's over to one uniform MCS under USA410 its no small task.
