Hey, I just my Razr!!! Coolest phone on earth. But I recently stopped by a Cingular store (Not an Auth Dealer) in Tucson. I had problems with my car charger and wanted to replace it. Here's what happened: The Rep told me that I would have to take it to the store I bought it in... Is that true? I had my reciept and original package since it was the first time I used it. Second, they didn't have one in the store to sell me. Isn't this like your biggest, hottest seller? Okay, I understand that you can run out but the rep just told me to try another store and finished with "Is there anything else?" That just sucked. I also have a Verizon Account (I need the EVDO in Phoenix) so Walked accross the parking lot to Verizon. They said t...

In store reps are there to sell, not assist. They are there to make commision...some where along the lines of a used car salesmen

My post was not directed at you, and it would only make sense if you have been around here for a while.

It was directed at the first person to reply. Their statement was completely without fact, something austin316 did quite often.

The funny part texas is I wonder what happened to Austin316.

After that little post where he pasted an internal email all over phonescoop, I know he got reported quite a few times and he has not posted in quite a while =).

No complaints either because he was a jerk and made Cingular look really bad.

What kind of crappy people are you trying to make us Retail Reps out to be?? Granted there are a number of reps out there that couldn't give a care in the world about there customers, there are far more of us that do!! Most of ther reps in my area reley on referalls and were not gonna get them by treating customers like @*#%.

As Far as stikers question yes we could usualy just swap an accessory as long as we had the same one in stock. I feel bad that you were treated poorly by one of our reps, that not only hurts cingulars reputation but also makes ...

f*ck cingular in-store reps.. thats all i have to say. They only made my life COMPLETELY MISERABLE while i was working for convergys. Im soooo glad im done with cingular, especially with the in-store reps.

So in store reps do not get paid an hourly wage? If so, that's to cover the "cost" of assistance. And, by the way, what happens when all are jerks and don't want to help anyone but only want to sell. People start talking and instead of going to an instore rep, they go elsewhere, maybe even another provider. An in store rep is nothing like a used car salesman. A used car salesman just has to sell a car which usually is a buyer beware type of sale. An instore rep sells products that comes with warranties and possibly follow up to ensure the customer is satisfied.
