Two 'Cingular' stores one block apart - two stories
I went to two different Cingular stores that are about one block apart in Springfield Missouri trying to find out the best plan and phone for getting better reception in my home. The first "Cingular" store said switch to straight Cingular phone/plan - the former ATT now Cingular store suggested I stay with the ATT/Cingular phone and plan because that was the best. Is this a turf war and how can I know which is the best for me?

i've never seen so many cingular stores as i did in springfield. i'm not in a merged market thanks to monopoly, so honestly i can't tell you the difference. i'd think going with the cingular equipment and plan would be the better bet, but i'm not for sure. you won't see cingular stores that close together in OKC

My family lives in OKC and I think we now have at least 10 cingular family phone lines there. I am trying to improve my service so we can talk better. This has been frustrating trying to figure out who and what to believe will be the better plan/phone in Springfield area. Thanks for your input.
