My billing cycle started over on the July 23rd and I'm still not able to monitor my usage with all four methods that they provide to me(website, #646*, media net-my account, and 611). When i call into CS they tell me to just wait another twenty four hours for the system to update. Pure BS on cINGULAR's behalf.

How often does it give you real time usage? If it is working it takes very long for it to update. I also can't buy the fact that there is not way to monitor your text message usage. That is ashamed because i have no problem with my Verizon account neither did my (old)Sprint service give me a problem. I guess I'm anal about this because I supposedly went over my minutes last month.

Hey, I agree with you. My bill cycle starts on the 25th of the month, and I still cannot see June 25 - July 24 online. Online says I still have all my minutes for this month, so does *MIN#. I can't believe it takes that long to update. This is why Cingular lacks in customer service. I'd also like to know how many text messages I've used. I think Cingular would benefit by putting some systems in place that allow for more real-time usage estimates through STAR SERVICES... especially on the text side, I would upgrade my plan if I knew I was coming close to using my package. It's a very poor customer experience if they've had Verizon since VZW allows you to see everything in near-real time.

Its probably showing minutes for June 23 up till today, instead of July 23. I've seen it happen a few times. You can try checking it online, or get to rep to just filter out the minutes used from 7/23 till today. Hopefully you're get a knowledgeable rep who knows what they're doing.

Its sad because I had high hopes for this company, and the future of GSM. It seems like the Blue culture of complacency have slipped it to the Orange doors. Blue failed to correct the issues before Verzion left them in the dust.

What good is the implementation of new technologies, slogans, and networks if the populous views you as unqualified manages them.

*star* services are relatively NEW to Cingular. Atleast in this market. Yes I KNOW it's aggrevating and I know it pisses alot of people off, but cingular is not perfect by anymeans and I'm positively sure T-Mobile and Sprint and Verizon have their screw-ups! 😈

Valid point, but you can get accurate minutes used in your plan with all the services you named. 👿
