Prepaid question
I have a question for the Cingular reps. I have an unlocked phone that will work with Cingular and I am thinking about doing Cingular prepaid. Can I go to a local store and just get a prepaid SIM card, or do I have to actually buy a go phone as well? I REALLY don't want to buy a go-phone, because I already have a good phone, I just want the Cingular prepaid SIM card so that I can do prepay. Thank you for your help!

Good point Blue. I'd pay the extra $4.99 for the refurb phone just to have an extra.

If I remember correctly, for example, I don't think the WAP settings for internet service can be changed on non-Cingular Motorolas and thus would not be compatible with our GPRS. I may be wrong.
PS -- if you call the 800 number do NOT choose the option to activate a phone as you'll be put in an automated system and you won't be able to activat...

2. My T-Mobile contract does not run out for 8 more months, and I am considering going back to prepaid next year, and I know that Cingular prepaid is a good deal. So I was curious.
and a special shout out to my fellow Chicagoan!
