Tell ya what kiddies.....
This whole deal with reps from all departments saying just about anything to get a sale.....or to get off the phone. Ohhhh a free v3 razr black huh? strange never heard of such a thing without selling your soul to the big man in flames. Who knew that there were some shady ass reps selling free high end phones, free yearly subscriptions, free priority, free.....what have you. Its a plague on my conversion. (number of calls/number of sales)
It seems that when the preverbial representative was being trained or "born" by our fantastic training program, they got dropped on their little 4 IQ/lazy eyed/3 toothed head. Retardation is common when consuming alcohol during pregnancy. I wouldnt mind hunting down these little ...

I feel you. What I hate about them is that they tell custs: "I am going to transfer you to a dept that'll give a free RAZR." Then, they cold transfer them to my call center.... we get this calls and we'll be like... 😲 free RAZR? đŸ˜ŗ 😕 I'm sorry but the RAZR is not free ☚ī¸
(what follows this, is material for a completely new thread)

My cure for these types of reps or the ones that apply the credit for this stuff is to dock it out of their pay. or cancel all their benefits then fire them.

There are a few indirect stores that give the razr for free.... With 2yr activation... I know what your saying though... I always get ppl who want everything for free! If everything was free, then cingular wouldnt be in business anymore... Then they threaten to go somewhere else, and by that time, Im like "sure go ahead!" its gunna be the same over at the big red V for a phone with a crapload of features. You sign a contract and get a pretty substantial discount, but it's never enough!

Yup. I got my wife a 'free' black razr from tiger direct. You have to pay $300.00 up front and they send you a $50 rebate first, then after you've been with Cingular for 6 months they give you the 'loyalty' rebat...

Couple problems with this to get Cingular you need a USA address. they do not send the bill outside the USA second you will need credit to get postpaid service. Not just in Canada but you would need a SSN if Canadian you will not have that therefore if you were to get service a huge deposit would be required. Also you do not get a lot with the North America Package and it starts at 59.99 450 minutes and 1000 n&w and there is no roll over on that plan. You can get the Razer in ...

Wow.. and people wonder why people don't like Cingular. Even the people that work for the company don't like each other. That explains the mean and hateful reps. And what's that about credits? You don't think they should be given? Verizon gives credits all day long, whether a customer deserves them or not. It's the nice thing to do.

This is my first time to visit the Cingular forum and it hasn't been a very pleasant visit. I've been in here less than 5 minutes and seen so much harsh language it isn't even funny. I've never seen anything like it!

I like my co workers. just what I do not like is if a person flat out lies to the customer on what they can get and make a flat out invalid offer. just to shut the customer up or get a sale then that person should pay for it. Thats all I am saying. But yes Cingular is not big on giving credit. That was the mistake that ATTWS made and look what happened to them.

Ok if you think it's the "nice thing to do". AT&T handed out TONS of credits and look where they are now.

Exactly. If verizon is giving tons of credits they will eventually find themselves in a similar situation or their shareholders will tell them to fix the problem. may take a while but too many credits hurt over time.
