Phone replacement?

I will be replacing my phone soon (formerly ATT will be switching to straight Cingular). I know I have 30 days to make sure I like Cingular over ATT. Just curious, and I doubt I will, but if I switch back to ATT, how does that work with the new phone? Do I have to pay full price then?

you won't have to pay for the phone. you'll just need to return the phone and you'll be billed for just the usage you had on it.

If I would switch back to ATT in the first 30 days because of reception, I would still want to keep the new phone. I understand when I first change to straight Cingular they will make me sign a new 2 year agreement. So if Cingular Network does not work out, and I go back to ATT, I would rather keep the new phone regardless of who I stay with. In that case, do I then have to pay the full price for the phone, or because I had extended my contract with ATT/Cingular would I keep the new phone with no increase in price for the phone?

(Assuming I guess the new phone would work for ATT/Cingular too, it will work on either option, right?) 😕

since you would want to keep the phone you would have to pay full price for it. the phone shouldn't work with ATT since it will be locked for use of a cingular sim card if i remember correctly.

That sounds right to me, the ATT phones and Cingular phones are separate from each other.
