I was surprised to see Phone Scoop listing the Nokia 6230 as
"Cingular - Discontinued".
Is this true ?

I consider the 6230 the ideal phone.

But then again, I probably do not fit the demographic here.

Are there any stats available on Cingular phones, and their brand/model popularity ?

BTW. My friend in the neighboring zip code shows the 6230 available on Cingular's site, but My zip does not ?? Atlanta market.

The 6230 has not been discontinued from Cingular's warehouse. Individual markets may choose to not carry the handset.

Sort of like the 3220.

This is a good phone. I've got 3 V551's, a V400 (junk) and a 6230 on our family plan account. 6230 works as well as the 551's and much better then the 400. It works inside the house when the others usually don't have strong enough signal. Jim, Orlando/Central Florida market

The 6230 is on our phase out list to be replaced by the 6682 in late August (hopefully). It is a great phone.
