I currently have two accounts with T-mobile. one of them the contract is up, the other ends on the 15th oof this month. I wanted to know if I signed up for a shared plan with cingular now, and they gave me new phones and new numbers if i could port my number over to cingular later? so basically i would activate them both now with new service and new #'s, and once my contract with TMO is up... then port the # over. any ideas?

you can port your number without your old contract being up, as long as you meet certain standards. all you have to do is go in to your local cingular store and ask them to check your number to see if it is elibible for porting, if not then they can let you know when it will be. it is very simple. 🙂 hope this helped 😁

Um.... that would probably give them ETF fees with T Mobile which I'm assuming they want to avoid.

You could port them later if you wanted to; thats not a problem. If I were you I'd wait the extra 10 days and do it all at once. The reason I say this is because it makes your bills look a lot cleaner. You're already gonna get a prorated bill from starting over brand new. Then it will be proratd again when you change the phone numbers.

Unless theres a deal that you NEED to take advantage of now I would just wait till both are up.

Razr's...sheesh....why is everybody so fascinated with razr's??? Get a motorola V551. It costs LESS (although you may not be able to find it for free, it TYPICALLY costs less) and does ALOT MORE.

Changing your mobile number(s) will most likely invalidate your rebate with wirefly.
