I heard that awhile ago too, but I'm not looking forward to it. I'm not looking forward to it, as I think PTT is a novelty.

I have heard late October for consumers early October for business customers.

I actually heard a little more just a minute ago that we are about to start taking some training classes on it. So maybe this is the real deal. I think that we will have a very good commission wise Christmas if it is here by then. đ đ đ đ

The problem with ptt on cingular is only a fraction of the phones will have it. Unlike nextel where they all have it. So what if you don't use minutes. Knowing cingular they'll probably charge you for some sort of data that you used on top of a monthly fee.

The difference, though, is that PTT with Cingular is just another feature that they offer, its not what their entire business is based around. Granted, nextel has other things going for them besides PTT, but if you ask the common customer whats good about Nextel, I'd bet 75% people say PTT. With Cingular, they already have a huge customer base built on other things, like network size, m2m base, phone selection, etc. PTT is just a feature to attract a few more customers, not what Cingular is banking on to make their business go, thats why there hasnt been a huge rollout of PTT phones yet, give it time, there will be plenty.
