v551 or z500a
i am moving to cingular and wanted to know which phone is better the moto v551 or the SE z500a. Thanks for your input.

The v551 is a bit nicer. It is heavier and a bit bigger. The screen is also a bit larger. The Z500 is a good phone too, but not quite as high up there as the v551. The z500 does have a better satisfactory rate though.

you are so wrong! we have more issues with motorolas, including the v551, than any other phone. the z500a is a much beter phone. if you really don't need the bluetooth, get the z500.

I had the moto and the z500a...ended up keeping the z500a. My opinion is that it is hands down better than any moto at that price level. BUT...if you want a better Sony, the z520a is coming out with blue-tooth; better screen (TFT vs. STN).

we have cingular WSC in our building. Im migrations. I asked this very question to a buddy of mine in that department (warranty exchange) and he told me to stay the hell away from motorola period.

Tru dat! In my call center EVERYONE has it. I mean at least 85% of the pleople has a moto V551. (even me! he he) Now, does that tell you something?

If it helps, the most common phone that employees use where I work is the V551. I tend to think that of all the people who know which phones are worthwile, its the people who service them day in/day out, and a majority of employees here use the V551 😁

I have the V551 and I like it... Now my wife has the Z500a and she likes it but the only problem I've seen is the she needs the charge it every night and the cheap look of it..

The V551 is a phone with more features and is probaly the best motorola phone offered right now, but motorala has known issues. You have to constantly power cycle these phones to make sure they receive all of the latest updates or they have sucky signal strenght and lots of dropped calls. I'd suggest the Z500a, never have heard any complaints about it

You know what the biggest question/complaint i get about the Z500's? How to make a call!!!!! Now thats not a phone issue, its a user issue, but I get a ton of people looking for a green phone or send button to make calls, don't understand how to use the left/right soft keys with the corresponding options above them to complete the call 😁
