Basic Question on Plans
With the talk of something new Sept. 1, is there any risk getting a new plan now? I am a TDMA user and want to migrate. I will be migrating with my own unlocked phone and probably select a basic plan with a data option.
Will I be able to take advantage of anything new in Sept with the 30 day policy?

I think the new things are the family plans. But maybe they will be coming out with the PEBL? Who knows.
If it is the new plans, cingular lets you change around your plan whenever you want, so don't worry about signing up now. You can just change it around some other time!

UPDATE: Sign up now if you are thinking of going family!! The family plans are getting nerfed. I'm real bitter about this.

Nothing makes anyone happy these days.
The old plans changed on June 1st and almost everyone had a negative attitude. Now they are changing pretty much back to similar options as before and people are starting to whine again.

these plans are good for everyone... sure they cost a few dollars more, but you get more minutes, and you get to add lines for 9.99 again, that alone is a great plus...

We do complain. And i haven't compared our plans lately (hey, i don't have that much free time to mystery shop the competitor).
I thought it was the dumbest thing when vzw changed family plans starting at 69.99 with 2 lines. who wants to spend $70 a month on cell phone bills (for those people who actually ONLY use their phones for an emergency, few and far between)
but hey, i am just a little peon. there is nothing i can do it about. grin and bear it, and take the customer complaints.
