i keep hearing about the 307 but that seems like a higher-end phone than they would be sending out company wide.. who knows though. If anyone finds out, let me know!!

I haven't been able to find much on the 307, but I've found even less on the 357. If they're giving it to you free it's bound to be cheap though. We have to pay for ours at cost.

I'm gonna have a word with my samsung rep if that's true and they screw over the agents. Samsung always has the crappiest sales contests also.

it may be by market or something... also, are you an exclusive agent or do you deal with multiple carriers?

exclusive premiere. Free phones are nada, but we get a decent employee plan. I get to buy my phones at cost, which is nice, but I still spent $511 on my Treo.

i'm in a corporate store, and samsung is tossing them to all the reps in company owned stores (people usually buy what we use).

It's the d357 (totally diff from the d307)
Sometime mid-late sept we will receive them, actually our new cou lines were activated a couple days ago, so it's just a matter of waiting for the phones to arrive.

Now we have to carry around a reg cou line (camera phone) and a second cou line(ptt phone) as well as a personal phone if you have one.

Also got some info from the samsung rep about how it works. It takes about 7 seconds for initial contact, but once it's connected, it's under a second back and forth.

any questions? check out the kodiak website and click on the demo icon.

yea thats great and all.. but where is this phone, surley they cant keep it a secret for long... i mean really every known source i have and i still cant get a pic.... and yes i think its stupid how we have to carry two phones.. but you think we can just add the PTT feature on cou line and just be done with it?

that's what we're doing in our market- just adding PTT to our COU and replacing our COU lines with the D357's

yea but in our market (not sure if it's company wide) we are receiving a second line. The original line will be a camera phone(so we can demo mms)
The new line will be for ptt.

I can see in the future when a camera ptt phone becomes available, they will again move us to one cou line.

Why don't you just contact COU/NEAS and submit a request to have the PTT feature added to your COU line currently, then when you get your your SGH-D357 you can just pop your sim out and into that phone....that's what I have done. Why carry around 2 different phone lines if you don't have to right??
