Blocking Calls
I have a quick question about placing a call... Whenever I try to call this one person, the cell phone just rings and rings and rings. After about 8 rings, an automated message comes on saying, "We're sorry, this customer is not accepting calls at this time." Is this a problem on my end or their end? Could they have blocked my number and that's why I get that message? How come voicemail never kicks on? We're both Cingular customers and any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I suspended one of the lines on my account recently. I called it once to hear what callers would hear, and it said,"the person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time..."

Well, that can't be it because they tried calling me this afternoon and I was just returning their phone call. Additionally, we send and receive text messages back and forth.

Is the phone a nokia phone, I recently had a nokia 3120 come in and under the settings there is a feature that allows certain phones to block the number, change that disabled and that should fix the problem that you are having.

Obviously meaning your friend's phone, not your phone.

chances are they don't have VM or it's not working properly. Yes it's free but you can turn it off.

The person's voicemail is either turned off or the voicemail isn't programmed correctly in the system. Tell your friend to call customer care and get it fixed.
