Why is my signal weaker in the evenings?

It depends on exactly when we are talking about.

Effective radius of coverage from a given tower will contract above a certain user load. So sometimes what happens is the user jumps on the phn right at 9:01pm - along with a bazillion other users - and you get weaker reception.

If you are really curious, google to find out how to throw your phn into Test Mode, then google to figure out what the data means, then compare it at various times of day.

actually from 11pm not many people are on the cell phones and using the towers.

anyway with that said that is why they do maintainence on those towers from 11pm on.

you know what happens with techs are working on those towers right? (they shut them down for a few mins then try to have another one supporting that area) (if that doesnt happen then you will lose your capacity a lot)
