Seems to me Cingular hasn't improved much!!!

On cnet.com there a video for the Motorolla A840 for ATTWS. It is a GSM and WCDMA phone. Interesting .... Kent German goes on to say that ATTWS has UTMS set up and running in a few cities.

Why hasn't Cingular improved on this?

And to me it seems like ATTWS did most of the GSM work and Cingular is just riding their wave!

cingular bought att wireless becuase of the spectrum that att wireless had so that they can use umts then hsdpa.
cingular has to deal with the integration which has been problomatic so far.

yes, att wireless did all the work while cingular couldnt grow organically by doing it so they bought out att wireless.

we will see after the integration is 100 percent completed if cingular will rapidly deploy umts and hsdpa.

they have been building up umts... not rapidly, but quietly... just because you don't see public releases doesn't mean things aren't happening..

i dont read public releases. i have information that most people can not get.

the whole purpose of buying att wireless was becuase of the spectrum that cingular didnt have to deploy umts/hsdpa in many big markets. without that they couldnt deploy that technology.

Here we go again....He claims to have information that other employees and the general public can't get. And he supposedly owns stock in Cingular too....

Does this remind anyone of a particular interior designer???

Martha Stewart anyone????

by the way martha is worth a $1 billion 🙂.

anyway. i have very good sources. regardless, i do indirectly own cingular. (cingular doesnt have any stock, but their parents bell south (bls) and sbc (sbc) do.) since i own those stocks sbc, and bls, i indirectly own cingular becuase those 2 companies (sbc and bell south) owns cingular.

not sure if you know about the stock market but when they are a publicly traded company if you own shares you own a part of the company.

Thanks for the business lesson. However, if I didn't learn that in 3rd grade (which I did), then I definately learned it in business 101 in undergrad school, and I DEFINATELY would have learned it in grad school. But tha...

Who is this Nextel 18? Besides his age I mean. He OWNS SBC? Daddy gave him 100 shares of stock and told him he now OWNED SBC. I guess he is now privy to "inside information." đŸ¤Ŗ
Wow! Sorry I could not let that pass. Some people are just too transparent. Especially little boys trying to be big men. I apologize to all. 🙄

i am 21 by the way, not 18..

"daddy gave him 100 shares?" lol what a pathetic individual.. lol.

it isnt hard to own shares.. just pay for them of course.

since sbc is a publicly traded company and if one owns shares one owns a portion of that company. (or any company)

Only a kid would claim the literal translation to "technically own" a company having a few shares of stock. Sorry. I just had to verify something I have learned to get pretty good at. Figuring out the maturity level or age of those who's faces I cannot see through their words.

You do not really own the company in as much as you have no say about anything the company does as a real owner would. Unkless you are a majority share holder of course or are on the board. All you own is a few stock certificates allowing you to ride on the coat tails of the real owners and live and die by their decisions. Thats all.

Schools out. Go play now.

Sorry about the typos. Was in a hurry. No offense Nextel. Sometimes I have to call a spade a spade. It's my nature sometimes. I'm an alpha girl. With two wireless phones on two carriers.😉

lol...

actually we do have a say, the shareholders that is becuase we can decide who will be on the board and who will be the directors etc... we have a huge say.. without us investors and shareholders the companies who are public would be in a mess.

you have no idea what i own.. sorry.

Please young man. Do not patronize me regarding your little proxy vote. đŸ¤Ŗ

Without the institutional holders the companies would be in a mess. Watch a large MF holder sell all it's SBC shares Monday. Then we will see how much your little vote counts when you are limping to your broker's office with a ghostlike complexion. If not then you do not have enough shares to make any difference as an individual at all. All you can be is hurt by the big boys decisions.

Naivety is not wasted on the young. Please Nextel 21 or whatever. I am only 25 years old myself and yet beginning to feel like your mom here. Please lay off the twisted patronizing arguments. I had those tussles with my 16 year old boyfriends years ago in High Schoo...

without any shareholders the companies would be in a mess whether they are mutual funds, or venture capilists and people like warren buffet or bill gates and others.

i also have many mutual funds who owns shares that i have too which means that i do have a proxy vote. of course many investors have small positions but they do have a say regardless if one owns 1 share or 1 billion shares.

i dont understand why you are saying stuff you have no idea what your talking about with regards to my portfolio. you have no idea.

my broker is my dad lol.

and i havnt limped so far since i am doing quite well. thanks 🙂

OMG...This conversation is exactly like the "my daddy is bigger then yours" talks I remember back in HS.

I will leave him alone. He knows truth. I have no neither the time nor the interest to educate or deal with complexes of the young. HAve a great life Nextel with all your mommy and daddy's "riches" 🙄

No truly wealthy person would come out and say that they are a wealthy person. They don't need to. Attempting to brag about your "wealth" pretty well confirms that you are no more wealthy than the next person. 😉
