rtx

Sep 7, 2005, 5:02 PM
Just moved to North Dallas from Los Angeles. Who would have the best overall coverage in this area? Thanks.

LOL actually compared to most of SoCal it''s very nice out here.

Anyway, I am leaning toward Cingular. They cost a bit more but have early evenings for 5.00 and from what I can see mobile to mobile on their network is free.

Why would you tie yourself up for 2 years?

There is a one year option......all my phone pricing is the same if you wish to do a one year instead of a 2 year.

You're selling your phones on a one year contract for the same price as on a two year, or are you just talking about the features?

The Sept 1 price plans have made us rework things over here.

Caleb,

That is correct. Premier agent's commissions went down Sept 1st, mine went up.....go figure.

Now, upgrades don't pay for **** anymore, unless they are on a $59.99 or higher plan. Migration commission is the same as before.

Hope you are well.

Man, that's crazy... at least it can help bring you some business! I think our new commissions are actually better and make a lot more sense. My company was even able to haggle out a few extra dollars on those 2 year contracts.

My career might be picking up soon! I'll let you know when/if it's official.

WRONG!!

No commitment contracts do not include M2M. 1 and 2 year do. Try again....

Addison is a funny monster. I live off Monfort and Preston Oaks and get perfect reception in my apartment.

I have a T-Mo rep 3 doors down and he has to talk outside too. He has a bluetooth phone that he leaves on the balcony. I laugh everytime I walk by and see his phone! T-Mobile rocks!!

Will's right. 1 year contracts DO get mobile to mobile. Promotional features on a rate plan (such as mobile to mobile) require you to sign up on at least a 1 year contract. If you don't want to do a contract, you can get the same plan but without the promotional features.

Definately Cingular. Even though I work for them, I have cingular and t-mo cells. My cingular phone definately has 'more bars in more places' and to be fair I freequently use my unlocked treo with both sims.

Funny you asked the question on Cingular forum, are you going to get an objective answer?

Yes they are. I live in Dallas and I've used T-Mobile and Cingular. You'll get a better coverage area on Cingular. I go from Plano to south Fort Worth every week, and Cingular is flat out better in this area. Also Cingular customers make up over 50% of cell phone users in Dallas, which really shows you the value of that mobile to mobile.

I agree with Raplh on this one. I live in Addison and I own a Cingular store in Bridgeport. From Sherman to Waco and Bridgeport to Lufkin, you can't beet Cingular. There is no T-Mo coverage out where I am or Verizon, etc.

Funny, live in addison myself, tollway and west grove. I have to go outside to use my tmo phone. I can go in the bathroom and get edged speeds on my cingy.
