Found this in the Cingular brochure figured I'd share it "Cingular also imposes the following charges: a regulatory cost recovery charge of up to$1.25 to help defray its costs incurred in complying with obligations and charges imposed by state and federal telecom regulations, a gross receipts surcharge, and state and federal universal charges. These are not taxes or government-required charges" It seems to me Vzw was trying not charge their customers unnecessary fees until they had choice, while on the other hand cingy has been doing it for years $1.25-.40=.85. So all of you cingy customers who are tired of dropped calls and sick of crappy customer service SWITCH NOW AND SAVE!!!!At Verizon we welcome you with open arms and appreciate the cha...

i assume you meant to say "had no choice" - well they did have a choice - to do it or not to do it.

And cingy had a choice and has been doing it for years. I know that it is hard to believe that cingy is actually ahead of Vzw in something other than buying customers but it's true they have been charging these fees for years!

so have most other carriers. At least cingular is totally owned by american corporations. Not a foreign carrier ::shudders:: 🙄 relax it's a joke...
